Webb VanMeter and Cooper Cason to Transylvania University
WEBB VANMETER
2015 Kings Black Long Stick Midfielder and Defenseman Webb VanMeter has committed to play Division III Lacrosse for the Transylvania University Pioneers in Lexington, Kentucky. VanMeter will be joining the Pioneers in their 4th season of play and second season in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference. Webb, a 5’10” 175 defender is one of the best defensive players in the state while also standing out on the football field for the Blue Devils as a Linebacker. A three year starter for the Henry Clay Lacrosse program, VanMeter has lead Henry Clay High School to back to back KLA championship games including a state championship victory in the 2013 season. Webb is a captain and garnered All-State honors as a junior for the Blue Devils.

COOPER CASON
2015 Kings Black Attackman/Midfielder Cooper Cason has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. Cason will join the Pioneers after his senior season at Henry Clay High School. Cason, a 6’2” 180 pound attackman/midfielder, is one of the elite offensive talents in the state. Cooper is one of the most dynamic players in Commonwealth Kings history and was recruited by programs at the Division I, II and III levels before setting his sights on playing for the Pioneers. Cooper is also a standout on the ice with the Henry Clay hockey team as their leading point scorer for the Devils. Cason has garnered All-State accolades twice in three years as a starter including 129 points during his sophomore and junior seasons in addition to leading his team to back to back state championship seasons including a title in 2013. Cason was awarded All-Star nods at the Chicago Cup, Great Lakes Games and Carolina Summer Shootout.
