Fall THREEs (3rd - 8th grades)

Format

  • 5-week season: 4 weeks of regular season play + 1 week of playoffs (5-game minimum).

  • Divisions: 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th.

  • Max 5 to 6 players per team, 4 teams per division. If we sell out early we will look to expand Session II.

  • Players register individually and directors will form teams based on experience and communicate placement prior to start of week 1.

  • Each player will receive a Kings reversible.

Gameplay

  • Emphasis on free-lance lacrosse - players can enjoy the game without structured sets or plays. There is no coaching involved (exception for 3rd/4th) as there are plenty of other opportunities for instruction. This is about letting kids play.

  • Self-managed teams with director assistance for substitutions if needed; no coaches or parents on the sidelines.

  • 3rd/4th division plays 3v3 Chumash style. Watch: What is Chumash?

  • 5th/6th & 7th/8th divisions play 3v3 with 1 goal/goalie and a takeback line to encourage half-field strategy.

Rules

  • Two 15-minute running halves.

  • Full regulation lacrosse equipment is required and includes helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, and mouth guard.

  • No takeout checks are allowed at any level!

  • Face-off to start the game, no face-offs after goals; the defending team gets the ball at the takeback line.

  • No longpoles!

Schedule

  • Session 1:

    • 3rd/4th: Tuesdays* from 6 to 7:30 pm - 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, *11/3 (on Friday due to Halloween), 11/7

    • 5th/6th & 7th/8th: Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 pm - 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9 (we may combine these divisions for this first session)

  • Final game times will be released 1 week prior to the start of the session.

  • Location: Alpha Training (Indoor), 821 Porter Pl Lexington, KY 40508. No cleats allowed.

Cost is $140 per player

Refund Policy

  • There is up to a 50% refund on registration cancellations prior to the start of a session.

  • There are no refunds after the first session of a program.

  • Registration fees will not 'carry over' to other sessions if players are absent from league play.
